Apple Farm Fun

We had a great day today on a homeschool field trip to a great apple farm in Brant

The owners, Mr and Mrs Mann, talked to us about everything involved in caring for an apple farm.

They had a chicken coup, rabbit, sheep, goats, donkey and miniature horses.

The kids got a kick out of the huge 20 oz apples.

The kids with some of their friends.

Mr Mann took us on a tractor pulled hay ride and the kids got to choose a small pumpkin from their pumpkin patch.

Face shots

To make up for the gap in my posts I will do a few posts a day for a while:)

Here is Erin (age 5 years 9 months)

Here is Ryan age 3 years 10 months

Freedom

I dread the day that our innocent, naive children will learn the details of what happened on this day.  I felt it was timely though to talk about our great country with them today and introduce them to the meaning of the word "freedom." May they both live for the day where there is worldwide peace and freedom for all.

Wow...time flies

Sorry that it has been over 2 months since I last posted.  Summer got ahead of us and our Internet has been running slower than usual.  We had a great summer and are enjoying so many fun experiences as a family.  We went to fantasy Island, visited the Falls, camped at Allegany State Park, went to many carnivals, fairs, playdates and picnics.  Erin attended a week long summer camp.  At home, the kids swam, caught frogs, fished, rode their ATVs, biked, hiked, sat around camp fires and enjoyed the beauty of the woods we live in.
Here are a few pictures from the last few months.
