Cute and Chubby

Our chubby little guy is almost 5 months old now and loves to play with his toes and roll from his tummy to his back. He also enjoys blowing raspberries.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Even though neither of us are Irish, I particularly like this holiday b/c both our kids have Irish names. :)

Photic Sneeze Reflex

I have always noticed that I sneeze when outside in bright light. Erin also seems to exhibit this response on occasion and when we took Ryan outside this week he did too. A quick google search lead me to some interesting information about this phenomena. It appears to be an autosomal dominant condition, so it isn't a surprise that the kids have it too (Jay, btw, does not have this reflex). I found this article on the Scientific American website about it:http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=looking-at-the-sun-can-trigger-a-sneeze

Genetics is such an interesting subject to me (nerdy science teacher talking here!). From time to time, I really enjoy looking at the kids and making note of the traits that they obviously got from me or from Jay.

Momma and Ryan

Erin took this pic of us today...pretty good for a 2 year old.

Our first walk in the BOB jogging stroller. He fell asleep w/in minutes (just like Erin did).

Ryan and I both have long fingers, so I thought this would be a cute picture to show him someday.

We both have big feet too, but his sure look small next to mine.

Bling, bling.....

I can't see now that I took off my sunglasses, that flash is too bright!

Erin loves her baby brother

We have really enjoyed watching Erin as she has grown closer and closer to her baby brother. She loves to go up to him and "tickle" his belly, give him his toys, put his pacifier in his mouth and give him kisses on his head. We really look forward to watching the two of them play together when he is a little older. Ryan is lucky to have such a loving and sweet big sister.

Through Erin's Eyes

Erin's been enjoying taking pictures with mommy's camera (she is calling me mommy now). Here are some of her best shots.

Daddy being goofy.

Madison and Ryan laying on the floor.

Mr. Potato head and mommy's feet.

Ryan is 4 months old.

Wow the last 4 months flew by fast. Ryan is turning into such a calm and loving baby. He coos a lot and rarely cries anymore. He is still waking once or twice a night, but I'm managing. He's *very* big....weighing in at 19lbs 9oz and measuring 27 3/4 inches long! The nurses couldn't believe it. We are blessed with his great health (and Erin's too) and the love he brings to us all.

Ryan's First Superbowl

Dada and Ryan cheer on the Saints.

Who knows, maybe he will be a linebacker someday?

Erin's first trip to Chuck-E-Cheese

Erin, Grandma Pat, Ryan and Momma had a fun day at Chuck-E-Cheese.

Erin is riding a bike, while Grandma and Ryan look on.

Erin's favorite thing was certainly this slide and it was *free.*

Riding on Cinderella's stage coach.
Momma and Ryan have fun watching Erin on the rides.

Erin enjoys talking on the phone with Chuck-E-Cheese.

Erin rides a school bus.
Erin didn't know what to think of this ride.

Erin enjoyed this Barnie ride a lot.
