Holiday Craft Fun

We made some salt dough ornaments today.  The kids really enjoyed it, especially Erin.

First we placed 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt and 3/4 cup of water in a glass bowl and stirred it (that proved to be messy, as you can see the flour on Erin’s dress).

I then decided it would be better to just kneed it like bread dough.

We then used an assortment of cookie cuts to punch out shapes.

and used a straw to punch out a hole in each one.

We then baked them for 20 minutes at 200 degrees (flipping them over once half way through to prevent curling of the edges).

Next we got out the paint and the glitter and had fun decorating.
